"ELA as stated in its certificate of incorporation is organized to encourage and promote the sport of youth lacrosse in the Town of Ellington, CT and in the Ellington, Connecticut Public School System; to assist the Ellington Department of Parks and Recreation in the operation of the youth lacrosse program within the Town of Ellington; and to do all in its power to protect and advance the interest of youth lacrosse and to encourage sportsmanlike competition.
ELA shall not be conducted, or operated, for profit. No part of the net earnings of ELA shall inure to the benefit of any member, director, officer, or any private individual (except that reasonable compensation may be paid for services rendered to or for ELA), and no member, director or officer of ELA or any private individual shall be entitled to share in the distribution of any assets on dissolution of ELA.”
